Tod Machover is completing work on a new Bridge Records CD called …but not simpler…. The album draws from Tod’s instrumental works composed over the past decade, including “Sparkler” (commissioned by the American Composers Orchestra and premiered at Carnegie Hall), “Jeux Deux” (commissioned by the Boston Pops and premiered at Boston Symphony Hall), “…but not simpler” (commissioned by the Ying Quartet) and a collection of “hyper dim sums” created using the HyperScore composing software developed at the Opera of the Future group at the M.I.T. Media Lab. ” I am thrilled that this new CD is pure music from one end to the other,” says Tod, “and it is music that covers many moods and demonstrates most of my sonic passions.” We can’t wait to hear it!
Tod has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to support the completion of the CD. Please check it out!
